🇬🇧 Another Day of Exploring Manchester!
🚄 Train from Edinburgh: Booked via Ctrip with a tight connection (thanks to delays, only had 2 mins to switch trains!). But their delay compensation was super fast—money back in minutes! 🏨 Hotel Ibis near Piccadilly Station: 10-min walk with luggage. The lobby felt like a pool hall (so random! 😂), but rooms were clean & comfy. 📍 Today's Stops 🎨 Manchester Art Gallery ⭐⭐⭐ Small but charming (free entry!). Mostly oil paintings—nice for a quick visit. ⛪ Manchester Cathedral ⭐⭐⭐ Gothic beauty, but after seeing so many UK churches... maybe skip the inside? 📖 John Rylands Library ⭐⭐⭐ (Open Wed-Sat!) Feels like Hogwarts—don’t miss the ceilings! 🛍 Northern Quarter ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hipster heaven! Visited Fred Aldous (100-year-old craft shop)—so many tools, but most souvenirs were "Made in China." 😅 🛒 Selfridges ⭐⭐⭐ Went for Jellycat exclusives, but zero gift-wrapping (just a flimsy bag—meh). 🍛 Thaikhun ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thai cooking classes inside! The meat skewers were amazing, but the set menu was just okay. £60+—most expensive meal of my UK trip! 💡 Final Thoughts Manchester’s vibe is cool, but maybe best for football fans? ⚽ #UKTravel #ManchesterDiaries #CityWalk #SoloTravel
