🇬🇧 Best Meal Recently at The pem, London
Another night of pretty food! My foreign colleague strongly recommended this British cuisine spot, The pem. Postcode 👉 SW1H 0BH It's right at the entrance of St. James's Park station, inside the Conrad hotel. The entire restaurant is designed in soft pink tones—super lovely and perfect for photos! 📸 For the main course, I had red mullet. The fish was fried to a crispy perfection, paired with stir-fried red peppers and pickled carrots🥕. The base was a smooth eggplant puree—perfect for an Asian palate. Best of the night! The pork belly was just okay—I'd skip the pork dishes at British restaurants. Every appetizer was surprisingly delicious 😋. The scallops were large and fresh. I tried smoked duck breast for the first time. I usually don't like the smoky flavor, but their version with fresh lettuce and a light sauce was quite refreshing. The bread was freshly baked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They also served two amuse-bouches: beetroot rolled into crispy cigar shapes, with no earthy aftertaste—I loved them! The pem is on the Michelin-recommended list, and I think it's perfect for a date or a chat. The ambiance is very intimate. Average spend: £100 per person, depending on what you order. #London #LondonFood #PrettyFoodInLondon #LondonDateNight #LondonMichelin #UKFood #LondonLife
