🇬🇧 Birmingham Day Trip Guide | Met with a Sunny Day in Brum! ⛲🫧
Last week during reading week, my friends and I went on a city-hopping adventure to Leeds, York, and Manchester, with Birmingham as our final stop. We were so lucky to catch a rare sunny February day in the UK — you know what that means! 😎 Birmingham’s attractions are super concentrated — perfect for a day trip! We arrived the night before at Birmingham New Street Station and stayed at a hotel just next to it. That evening, we walked 5 minutes to Chinatown and tried the highly-recommended Tayudo Korean BBQ 🍖. The owner was super friendly, and we literally ate until we couldn’t move! 🎬 The next day, we started around 11 AM. Here was our route: 📍 Peaky Blinders Mural Right next to the train station — bring your caps, sunglasses, trench coats, and full Peaky swag 😎. BTW, Tommy Shelby is just too cool 🧥🔥! 📍 Victoria Square Probably the prettiest spot in Birmingham! The fountain looks absolutely magical glittering under the sunlight ⛲✨. 📍 St Martin’s Church & Bullring Shopping Centre These two are super close — perfect to visit together. The church covered in green moss is so unique. Right outside Bullring, there’s a viewing platform where you can see the whole church — great photo spot! 📷 The only regret? Spotted Molly Tea under renovation… and it opened THE DAY AFTER I returned to Edinburgh 😭. Next time I go to London, I’m punishing myself with 3 cups! #CaptureTheMoment #Birmingham #PeakyBlinders #UKStudentLife #StudyAbroadDiaries 🇬🇧📸
