🇬🇧 Bradford – A Charming Town Near Leeds Worth Exploring!

Just finished my last assignment before the semester starts 🎉, so my friends and I decided to take a day trip—and we were pleasantly surprised by this lovely little town! Located in West Yorkshire, Bradford is only about 13 miles from Leeds 🚆. For those based in Leeds, it’s a quick 20-minute train ride away. Pro tip: Get an open return ticket if you plan a same-day round trip! 📚 Waterstones Bradford A bookstore you can’t miss! Sunlight streaming through tall windows onto classic wooden bookshelves 📖✨—time really seems to slow down here. (I even found a Friends-themed calendar here! My HP-loving friend also picked up some cool merch. Highly recommend!) ⛪ Bradford Cathedral A peaceful and serene church. The staff were super friendly and gave us a warm, detailed introduction 🥹. It wasn’t crowded at all—perfect for a quiet photo session! 🎥 National Science and Media Museum Hands-down the highlight of the trip! Lower Ground Floor: The history of film and photography 🎞️📸. Even as a casual visitor, I loved how photogenic everything was! Film majors would especially appreciate this. Second Floor: Sound and radio technology exhibits 📻✨. So interactive and fun—who says you can’t be a science kid at heart? 🔔 A friendly note: Bradford is culturally diverse and vibrant, but it does have a relatively higher crime rate. Stay safe, travel with friends, and try to wrap up before it gets dark! 👭🌆 #StudyAbroadPlog #HiddenGemsUK #StudentLife #StudyAbroadTravels #DayTripIdeas
