🇬🇧 Cambridge Summer School

Having spent three weeks here, I’ve truly experienced the city’s laid-back vibe ☁️. The sun sets after 21:30, but most shops close by 17:00 😅. I spent my weekends exploring intensely and compiled a list of my favorite stores & shopping tips: 1️⃣ Scribbler Jellycat is basically a British specialty! This store looks like a bookstore but actually sells Jellycat inside 🧸. They have a wide variety—definitely worth a visit! 2️⃣ Tkmaxx Highly recommend! If you plan to buy a lot, grab a trolley at the entrance—it’s super convenient. The first floor has lots of beautiful jewelry 💍. From Vero Moda to Ralph Lauren, LV, and Armani—you can find everything across three floors! Great for hunting bargains 🛍️. I bought an Armani shirt for my dad for just £70 (originally ¥2300 in China)! But you need patience to dig through the racks. 3️⃣ Cambridge Gift Shops When buying keychains, fridge magnets, etc., be sure to compare prices at different stores! The cheapest fridge magnets I found were 3 for £10. Don’t pay more than that—keep looking! I bought a keychain for £5.99 at one store (the checkout counter had a sign in Chinese: “No refunds after purchase” 😤), then found the same one for £3.99 elsewhere… 4️⃣ “Women Who Changed the World” Tote Bag This bag is super popular! 👜 Show your King’s College ticket at the King’s College Visitor Center for a discount—around £16.20 after discount. I bought mine at a store with a sign saying “Discount for Chinese customers” for £17 (the Visitor Center was closed). My advice: If it’s under £20, just buy it! A classmate later found it was sold out everywhere, and available ones were priced over £20. ⚠️ One nicely decorated store sold it for £24.99—total “tote bag ambush”! 5️⃣ Kiltane Sells cashmere/wool scarves, ready-to-wear clothing, and Harris Tweed bags! Worth a visit. Wool scarves around £15, cashmere scarves £69. 6️⃣ Pocketwatch & Petticoats A popular dress shop with gorgeous designs 👗✨! Dresses average £70, petticoats & belts around £55. Feel free to share more recommendations in the comments! 💬 #CambridgeUniversity #Cambridge #SummerSchool #UK #CambridgeShopping
