🇬🇧 Cardiff, Wales – The Super Chill Coastal Capital You’ll Love!
The UK is made up of four parts, and not many people recommend Cardiff 🏴 – but once you come, you’ll fall in love! So much cleaner than London 🫢, with the buzz of a capital but the relaxed vibe of Europe. People here seem totally stress-free 😌. Let’s break Cardiff into three areas: 1️⃣ City Centre (eating, shopping, staying – all here!) It’s compact – you can stroll around in 2 hours 🚶♀️, but there’s so much good food! Packed with people enjoying drinks at night 🍺. ❤️ Don’t miss the famous Cardiff Market – seafood, fruit, food stalls, Welsh cakes – tasty and affordable! 2️⃣ Cardiff Bay Take the little train from Queen Street – just 4 mins 🚂, £3 return! No sandy beach, but perfect for a breezy walk by the water 🌊. Lots of restaurants nearby. 3️⃣ Cardiff University 🎓 Also worth a visit! Some campuses are just 20 mins walk from the city centre. 🍽️ Must-Try Food – Follow This List! 1️⃣ Cardiff Market Thai Asian Delish: Delicious Thai dishes ~£9. Tom Yum soup is amazing! 🍜 Welsh Cakes: Don’t miss these! Like scones – try the original (with raisins). Go to the busiest stall! Japanese Sandwiches: Sadly only open 12:00-3:00 – we missed it 😢 2️⃣ Santiago's Tapas Spanish food loved by locals! Paella is cooked just right for Chinese tastes 🥘 – ~£20 per person. 3️⃣ Giovannis On The Hayes Popular family Italian restaurant – always a queue! ~£20 pp, huge portions. Lasagna and pistachio king prawn pasta are must-tries 🍝. 4️⃣ Pettigrew Famous for pudding croissants – often sold out after 11:00 🥐. Caramelized outside – good but not mind-blowing. 5️⃣ Fresh Their baguette sandwiches are LEGENDARY! 🥖 No. 6 (salami, chicken, bacon, mayo, truffle, rocket) is incredible. Closed weekends, weekdays until 15:00. Wednesdays have slow-cooked beef – heard it’s amazing! #TravelTheWorld #UKTravel #HiddenGems #Wales #CardiffFood #UKFood #WalesTravel
