Alternative: Ride the bus to Point A (see map) to skip the road walk. 🥾 The Hike (6-8km, Easy) 1️⃣ Bell Street → Point A Caution: A short stretch along a road with no sidewalk (walk single file!). 2️⃣ Point A → Hambleden Through sheep-dotted fields and oak-shaded lanes. Detour needed: Recent floods blocked the riverside path (check Fig. 1). 🌳 Hambleden Highlights Thatched cottages straight out of The Holiday. St Mary’s Church (12th-century, with a climbing rose tunnel). Hambleden Mill: Photogenic old watermill by the Thames. 🍏 Pit Stops Henley-on-Thames: Grab a sausage roll at The Chocolate Café post-hike.
