🇬🇧 Hidden Gems of Cambridge | A Local's Guide
After nearly 4 years living here, it's time to share Cambridge's lesser-known treasures—beyond the usual college tours and punting! 🌆 Must-Visit Spots 1️⃣ Great St Mary's Church Classic skyline view! Climb the tower for £7.50 (no student discount, sadly 😒). Free to enter. 2️⃣ Parker's Piece 🌿🎡 My favorite park! Sunset + ferris wheel = magic ✨. Fun fact: Modern football rules were written here in 1848! 3️⃣ Cherry Hinton Chalk Pits ⛰️ Cambridge’s "mini White Cliffs"! A quiet quarry-turned-hiking spot (perfect for escaping crowds). 4️⃣ Grantchester 🚶♀️ A scenic riverside walk to this quaint village (pack a picnic!). 5️⃣ Museums Galore! 🏛️ Fitzwilliam Museum: Cambridge’s answer to the British Museum (free!). Tiny but mighty: Archaeology & Anthropology, Zoology, Polar Museum… All free and fascinating! 6️⃣ Silver Street Bridge 📸 Best photo spot for the Mathematical Bridge + punting boats. 7️⃣ The Round Church ⛪ One of England’s four round churches! Cute outside, but skip the paid interior (Cambridge students: free!). 💬 Why I Love Cambridge It’s small but steeped in history—every cobblestone whispers stories. Whether you’re visiting or living here, it’s pure cozy academia. I’ll miss this place dearly. ❤️ #CambridgeUK #TravelLikeALocal #UKHiddenGems #StudyAbroad
