Chalk pits can be accessed on the left hand side of Lime Kiln Hill. Be aware of traffic and caravans turning into camp site. Dog walkers, bird watchers and adventure track cyclists: Great place to take your dog or cycle. Completely gated off if you want to walk your dog off lead. Differing levels to walk on and information board adds to the interest of this place. On the higher level of the pit some adventure track cyclists can be seen. Mostly scrub land with rabbits here and there. Keen bird watchers can find some interesting birds here. Only one dog receptacle at the entrance so beware and take bags to clear up...

Safe place to bring your dog. Totally enclosed for any escapees. Could be a fist time place for you to let your dog off the lead. All round vision once you enter in order to assess what other dogs are out on or off leads. Dog bins are provided for waste. Wheelchair accessible if you have good large wheels to ride round paths. Differing levels so you may find cycles on the higher level. Plenty of wildlife here, so any chasers of...

A really interesting place to visit no matter the time of year. It is good for a casual walk or a slightly riskier one depending on your mood - you do have to keep in mind that not all of it is stable! Looks absolutely amazing. Image a hot day, but you're stuck in a snow scene Christmas card. I'm sure it's been used for filming instead of the North pole. Short walk, but you could easily spend an hour looking at the cliff faces. Similar to Dover, but about half the height. Well worth checking this out sometime. Highly recommended.

Exceptional place, very close to Cambridge, with a convenient access for example by bike. I visited it when it was rather cloudy so I am looking forward to coming there once again, but during a golden hour! One remark: be careful when stepping on the chalk, it is extremely slippery, especially when it's wet.
