🇬🇧 Lita Marylebone: A Michelin Star Disappointment 💫😕
📍 Lita Marylebone A Michelin-starred bistro that fell short of expectations - at £160pp, only one dish truly impressed. 🍽️ The Good: 1️⃣ T-Bone Steak Finally, a properly cooked steak in the UK! The salted pork-like flavor was interesting, and the 36-month Parmigiano Reggiano was perfectly mild and creamy. 2️⃣ Strozzapretti Duck Ragu Tasty, though the duck flavor was MIA. The pasta itself was well-executed. 🚫 The Bad: 1️⃣ Scallops (£29) Paper-thin slices of (admitted) non-fresh scallops with zero texture or sweetness. Pickle seasoning was nice, but this wasn’t worth £4, let alone £29. 2️⃣ Beef Tartare (£25) Decent flavor, but more suited to a £7 pub snack than a fine-dining price tag. 3️⃣ Dessert (£17) Basic mango jam vibes - not terrible, but not worth £17. 💁 Service: Polite but ineffective. When we pointed out issues (like the scallops), they acknowledged them… but didn’t offer replacements. Compared to countryside hospitality, London complacency shows. 💸 Final Verdict: Overpriced for what you get. The steak was the only standout, but at £95, it should be life-changing - not just "okay." #LondonEats #MichelinStar #FoodieFails #OverpricedLondon #Marylebone #FineDining
