📍 Ave Mario 15 Henrietta St, London WC2E 8QG Part of the Big Mamma group (the legends behind Circolo Popolare!), we originally wanted to try their sibling spot but ended up here due to no reservations. Weekday lunch walk-in success! 🍝☀️ Though for peak times, definitely book ahead—this place gets crazy busy! ✨ Why Ave Mario Stole Our Hearts ✨ 🍝 Black Truffle Pasta (Mafaldine) - THE STAR! Came for this, wasn't disappointed! The hand-rolled mafaldine coated in creamy, earthy truffle sauce was pure luxury—rich but not overly heavy. Way better than Padella (sorry, not sorry!). 🤤💫 🥗 Beef Carpaccio - For Bold Flavors! Huge portion alert! 🚨 Thinly sliced raw beef with rocket, parmesan, and a zesty dressing—so good if you're into bold flavors. (Not for the faint-hearted though!). 🐮🧀 🥩 Florentine T-Bone Steak - Good, But... The dry-aged beef itself was quality, but our medium-rare came out closer to medium-well in parts. Still juicy, but some bits were slightly chewy. 🥩🔥 (Pro tip: Specify "true medium-rare" if you like it pink!). 🫑 Sides: Grilled Peppers & Tomato Salad Perfect palate cleansers!
