🇬🇧 London | Best Seafood Spots 🦪🐟🦞
Looking for great seafood? Vauxhall is the place to go! This area is packed with Portuguese restaurants that offer reasonable prices and generous portions. Today, I visited Casa Madeira. Make sure to order the Clams and Mussels 🦪. If you prefer less salt, let the waiter know. The restaurant is spacious and features a huge screen—perfect for watching sports games with friends. 🐚 Clams : White wine–steamed clams are surprisingly delicious. The laurel leaves add a strong flavor, and the butter gives it a smooth, rich taste. The green bits aren’t parsley but cilantro, which adds a unique and delightful flavor. If you’re not a fan of cilantro, be sure to mention it. 🐚 Mussels : Marinhena with garlic & cream sauce. The white wine and cream sauce are the stars of this dish. The clams were so good that I added mussels, and the cream sauce really ties it all together. The seafood appetizers are all very fresh. 🐟 Fishcakes or Prawn Rissoles : I went with the fishcakes, which are small, olive-shaped balls. They’re soft and fluffy inside, with visible fish flakes. The combination of mashed potatoes and fish makes them incredibly tender. 🦞 Seafood Stew with Rice : A must-order at any Portuguese restaurant. This seafood stew has a strong tomato flavor, with a noticeable taste of tomato paste. The dish is listed as a serving for two, but it’s enough for three. Compared to other places, the appetizers here really stand out. 🗺️ Casa Madeira #LondonFoodGuide #LondonFood #LondonRestaurants #LondonFoodie #LondonFoodieSpots #LondonFoodieRecommendations #HiddenGemsInLondon #PortugueseCuisineInLondon #AmbientRestaurantsInLondon
