🇬🇧 London | Best Value Omakase
🍣 Sushi Atelier 📍 114 Great Portland St, W1W 6PH Near Oxford Street Ordered six pieces of omakase sushi for around £25. The sushi was exquisitely crafted, with fresh fish and shrimp, and the fat content was just right. Also had salmon sashimi and tuna sashimi, three pieces each for around £10. It was so delicious that we added another serving of sashimi. For around £40-50 per person, you can have a really great meal here! 🍣 Kushner Handroll Bar 📍 8 Slingsby Pl, WC2E 9AB Near Covent Garden, there was a short queue when we visited. My friend and I ordered a tasting menu for £75, which included starters, hand rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and cut rolls for two people. ❌ Unfortunately, nothing on the menu was particularly good. The starters were salmon tartare with an overwhelming amount of salad dressing, making the fish and dressing clash in your mouth. The sashimi was fishy and chewy, definitely not fresh. Overall, it was a big disappointment. The only plus was the low price, but even then, it felt like money wasted... 🤔 Sticks'n'Sushi Canary Wharf 📍 1 Crossrail Pl, E14 5AR This is a chain restaurant with multiple locations in London. Although it doesn't have much to do with omakase, I included it because I really love this place. The yakitori is amazing—some of the best I've had in London (maybe because I haven't had better as a budget diner). They have a good variety. I highly recommend the shake tataki, which is marinated salmon slices. The sweet and tangy flavor is rare but surprisingly delicious. The shake sashimi wasn't as stunning as the first place's, but it was still fresh and tasty. The prices are reasonable, with an average cost of around £40-50 per person. 🍖 #London #LivingInLondon #UK #LondonFood #LondonSushi #LondonOmakase #LondonYakitori #JapaneseFoodInLondon #RestaurantReview
