🇬🇧 London | Notting Hill
What’s fun in Notting Hill? First up: Portobello Road Market 🛍️✨—originally a 19th-century produce market, now famous for antiques and art. Every Saturday, it transforms into a bustling open-air bazaar! Then, of course, the pastel-colored houses 🏠🌈—thanks to the Notting Hill movie, these Insta-famous streets became a must-see for the artsy crowd. And don’t forget the Notting Hill Carnival 🎉—held every last weekend of August, it’s now one of Europe’s biggest street festivals! My Notting Hill Day ☀️ We headed out around 9 AM by tube. Portobello Road was already lively—locals pushing strollers 🧑🍼, walking dogs 🐕, and browsing stalls. We grabbed: A cute artistic fridge magnet 🧲 Refreshing strawberry smoothies 🍓 A hearty brunch 🥑🍳 Then we tried visiting the famous Notting Hill Bookshop 📚—but the crowd scared us off! 😅 A Bit of History 🕰️ Notting Hill urbanized in the mid-19th century, and post-WWII, it welcomed a wave of Caribbean immigrants. The Notting Hill Carnival started in 1964 🎶. The area is stunning—clean streets, Gothic Revival churches ⛪, Victorian townhouses 🏘️, and those iconic colorful terraces. (Though rumor has it some annoyed residents painted their houses black 🖤—true or not? 🤔) #WorldTravel #UK #London #NottingHillVibes 🌍✈️
