🇬🇧 London Winter ❄️ | Enjoying Coffee in a Church is the Thing to Do
1⃣ The V&A Cafe (P1 P2) The V&A Museum 🏛 is not only home to a vast collection of artifacts ⚱, but its in-house café ☕️ is also known as the world's first museum café and is acclaimed as "London's most beautiful café" 🤩. The café is divided into the main hall, The Gamble Room, and two annexes, Poynter Room and Morris Room, all named after their designers. Each hall has its own distinctive decoration, reflecting the elegant and exquisite style of the Victorian era 💎, with details like tray prints 🌸 featuring designs by William Morris. 📍 SW7 2RL 2⃣ Mercato Mayfair (P3 P4) This building, known as St. Mark's, was once a Grade I listed abandoned church ⛪️ and one of the best representatives of London's 19th-century Greek Revival architecture. After being sold and undergoing a two-year transformation at a cost of £5 million 💷, the once-abandoned church has turned into a magnificent food 🍝 market! Upholding the British spirit of drinking 🍻, this place offers not only coffee and specialty snacks but also a dedicated bar area, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a tipsy time with friends. 📍 W1K 6ZA 3⃣ Host Café (P5 P6) A hidden 👀 café ☕️ located within a church, which experienced a great fire in 1668. The designer rebuilt it on the same site, preserving its original Gothic style. In 2012, the Church of England organization Moot, based in the church, opened Host Café. Despite being in a grand church, the prices are very affordable 😋, and with free WiFi available, it's a great place to relax or work/study 📖. 📍 EC4M 9BW #WeekendGetaways#KCLCSSA #StudyingInTheUK #MyCoffeeDiary #LondonLife #UKLife #LondonCoffee #ShopExploration #LondonShopExploration #LondonCoffeeShops #UKLondon #LondonFood #KCL #ChurchCoffee
