🇬🇧 Museum of the Home|Time-Traveling Through Rooms 🕰️✨
As someone who moves every year in London, this exhibition hit hard: Emptying and refilling, year after year... What does "home" really mean to us in this foreign city? 🏠💭 Museum of the Home showcases East London living spaces from 1878 to 2049 🏛️📅. More than just furniture displays, it's a complete deconstruction and reimagining of the very concept of "home". 🛋️➗✖️➕ Wandering through different eras, I spotted familiar Chinese waterfall curtains in a Vietnamese home 🪟🌊, learned 1950s folks also made messes while matching outfits 👗👠, saw visitors spontaneously dance to vinyl records 🎶💃, and heard someone fondly recall their youth while pointing at cassette tapes 📼🥹. "Home is a circumstance." Is it a space? A feeling? Or the story we keep retelling? Though I'll be moving across London again next year, I'll keep filling my little home with old and new memories 🧳💖 ⏳ Closed Mondays | Free entry | Walk-ins welcome 🆓🚪 #LondonLife#LondonExhibitions#RoomsThatRaisedMe#EastLondon#LondonMuseums#HomeIsWhere#LondonArt
