Spent an amazing weekend taking the train from Oxford 🚞 to explore Portsmouth Historic Dockyard ⚓️—a massive naval-themed park with 10 attractions (you’d need 2 full days to see everything!). 🎟️ Ticket Options Single attraction: £34 3-ship combo (Victory, Mary Rose, Warrior): £44 Unlimited annual pass: £49 (NHS discount brings it down to £35—so we grabbed this! 😎) Bonus: Got to see HMS Queen Elizabeth, one of the UK’s two active aircraft carriers! 🛫🇬🇧 🚢 Must-See Attractions (Recommended Route) 1️⃣ HMS Victory The star of the dockyard! 🌟 Nelson’s legendary 18th-century wooden warship (yes, the Trafalgar Square statue guy!). 5 decks, 3 gun levels—explore the kitchen, dining room, carpenter’s workshop, wine cellar, and even the spot where Nelson died (with his family portrait nearby 🥺). Audio guide tells the epic battle story in detail. 2️⃣ Mary Rose Museum Henry VIII’s sunken warship, salvaged in 1982! 🏴☠️ Genius museum design: half shipwreck viewing, half interactive exhibits—super immersive! 3️⃣ HMS Warrior First ship you see from the train! 🚂 A 19th-century ironclad warship—feels way more advanced than Victory. 4️⃣ Harbour Tour (Free with ticket!)
