π¬π§ This Michelin One-Star West African Restaurant
The weather in London has been fantastic lately! Since I had to go to the visa office in the afternoon, I decided to take a half-day off and check out the lunch menu at the Michelin one-star West African restaurant, Chishuru. The three-course meal for Β£45 per person is a real steal! π Overall, I'd rate it 3.5/5. It's a great value for lunch. Snacks/Starters: Fermented Rice Cake πππ This dish is very West African in flavor. The fermented rice cake mixed with butternut squash is a great appetizer that really whets your appetite. π£ Mains: Smoked Eel ππππ I really enjoyed this dish. The eel is prepared in a unique wayβsmoky yet tender. The sauce underneath, made with sweet potato and a hint of cream, is especially delicious. π Grilled Chicken πππ My friend ordered this one. The chicken is quite tasty, but the potato cake on the side was a bit underwhelming. π Dessert: Mille-feuille ππππ As a huge fan of mille-feuille, I found the portion a bit small. The taste is just average, but the crispiness is perfect! π° #LondonFood
