🇮🇷 Tehran Travel & Accommodation Guide
First Stop in the Middle East: Iran We initially planned a short stay in Tehran, but the cultural adjustment from Europe was rough. Thankfully, meeting fellow Chinese backpackers gave us the courage to push forward. Most travelers explore Iran north-to-south (or vice versa), spending minimal time in Tehran—but these three spots made our trip unforgettable: 🌟 Top 3 Must-Visit Attractions 1️⃣ Imamzadeh Saleh Mosque 📍 Tajrish Square, District 1 💰 Free entry 👍 Why go? Tehran’s most stunning mosque, glowing beautifully at night. Women enter separately, and friendly locals help with headscarves. The adjacent bazaar sells cheaper handicrafts than Kashan/Isfahan! 2️⃣ Golestan Palace 📍 *Panzdah-e-Khordad St, District 12* 💰 6M IRR (~¥100) (Iran’s priciest attraction!) 👍 Why go? Mirror Hall and intricate tilework are breathtaking. No paper tickets, though. 3️⃣ Sa’dabad Palace Complex 📍 Tajrish, District 1 💰 1M IRR base fee + 1M IRR each for White/Green Palaces (other palaces: 50K IRR). 👍 Why go? A rare royal summer retreat in this arid climate. Closed Mondays! 🏨 Accommodation Tips 1️⃣ Near Airport: ~¥400/night (convenient for late arrivals). 2️⃣ Parsian Azadi Hotel: ¥600-700/night. Great breakfast but limited tourist info. 3️⃣ Tehran Heritage Hostel: Backpacker heaven! Dorms for ~¥50, shared meals, and travel buddies. #TravelTheWorld #Iran #Tehran #Backpacking
