🇮🇸 Iceland | Unexpected Culinary Delights⭐

🐟Before coming to Iceland, I thought I'd have to pack my own food because of the high prices—but I was wrong! 🐟Found some amazing restaurants with great quality and fair prices. No more boring bread meals! 🐟 (Plus, free tap water at all these spots.)🍎 1️⃣ Messinn 📍 Lækjargata 6, 101 Reykjavík ⭐ No reservation on Day 1 = failed walk-in. Booked for Day 2 and ordered the Arctic Char—absolutely mind-blowing! 🍲Sweet cherry tomato base, perfectly balanced with honey and almond crunch.🍎 🍲Crispy skin + buttery flesh—the fish was so fresh, and the sizzling potatoes on the iron plate were the perfect touch. 💰 €30 2️⃣ Svarta Kaffið 📍 Laugavegur 54, 101 Reykjavík ⭐ Locals' favorite beef soup. No menu—just bread bowl soup (meat or veggie). We chose the beef, and wow! 🍲Thick, blended texture with deep beef flavor (reminded me of Taiwanese beef noodles!).🍎 🍲Surprise ingredients: wood ear mushrooms and bamboo shoots—definitely some Chinese influence here. 🍲The bread bowl itself is delicious with butter (couldn’t finish it, so took it for breakfast!).🍎 💰 €19 3️⃣ Heimahumar "Local Langoustine" Truck 📍 Jökulsárlón, 781 Hornafjörður ⭐ Famous lobster hot dog by the glacier lagoon. ✅ Packed with generous langoustine meat and crispy fried onions—worth the hype! 💰 €15 4️⃣ Icelandic Street Food 📍 Lækjargata 8, 101 Reykjavík ⭐ Ordered the Fisherman’s Favorite (creamy cod & potato mash)—simple but so comforting. ✅Free waffles and water self-service. 💰 €20 #Iceland #Reykjavik #ArcticChar #Foodie #EuropeTravel
