Iceland Travel Food Recommendations
📍 P1 Messinn Personally, I think this is a Nordic-style restaurant that suits the Asian palate very well. Highly recommend the Arctic char and seafood pasta. The lobster and creamy fish soup are not recommended—I expected the 🐟fish soup to taste similar to Norwegian salmon soup, but it was different in texture and flavor, plus a bit too salty and fishy. 📍 P2 Caruso This is actually an Italian restaurant,🦞 but their lobster is incredibly fresh and bouncy, and when paired with the butter sauce, you’ll feel like you could finish a whole portion by yourself. 🐑The grilled lamb chops are also a specialty here (I don’t eat lamb, but friends at the next table said they were amazing—great for lamb lovers!). 🍚The seafood risotto and beef carpaccio were decent but nothing extraordinary. 📍 P3 Sjávargrillið 👍Must-try: The lobster tacos—so flavorful that my friend and I ordered a second round! 🔥The seafood pasta, smoked grilled salmon, and salmon sashimi were all delicious too. 🍞I loved the seasoning in every dish—no disappointments here. Even the complimentary bread with butter was so good I wanted to take some home. 🌟 Brauð & Co – Also tried their cinnamon rolls (forgot to take pics), which are the classic Nordic style—rich, buttery, and sweet. Perfect with coffee for breakfast. 🌟 Icelandic Street Food – A friend had the lamb soup in a bread bowl, which was decent. It’s an Icelandic staple, so worth a try for the experience. #Caruso#Messinn#Brauð & Co#food#travel#Reykjavik#food guide
