You HAVE to try the tourist train (€5 for 45 mins!) – it loops through the historic center from Piazza Stesicoro (where you buy tickets). Feels like time travel! First Impressions 😬 As a cleanliness-lover, I was horrified at first: Dirty, sooty buildings 🏚️ (everything looks "seasoned") Rat symphonies near trash bins 🐀🎻 Cars held together by prayers 🚗💨 But Wait... ✨ By sunset, the city transforms: Empty streets → lively piazzas with chattering locals 🗣️🍝 Graffiti-covered Baroque palaces – like a movie set 🎥 Hidden gardens, statues & churches at every turn ⛲ Italian Men? 🙄 Endless "compliments" (yelled at me: "Your ass is like a peach!" 🍑) Waiters "helpfully" offering to seat me with random grandpas ("then it's your job!" 😒) Harmless but soooo cringey Local Tip 🍹: Try the green herbal drink (non-alcoholic, €2.5) – sold everywhere! #SicilyTravel #Catania #UnfilteredItaly 🏴‍☠️
