🇮🇹 Cozy Italian Restaurant Near Vegas | Azzurra Cucina Italiana 🌿

This time for a work trip, I stayed in Henderson — what a relief to be away from the Strip! After a quick search for nearby spots still open past 8 PM, I found Azzurra Cucina Italiana and decided to walk over (so rare in the U.S. — I can’t even remember the last time I walked alone at night here! 🚶‍♀️). The restaurant is intimate but beautifully decorated — the color scheme totally stole my heart! 💗 Since I was dining solo, I didn’t order much, but both dishes I tried were solid. The menu has so many more items I’d love to go back for. The vibe was incredibly warm — the staff joked and laughed together like one big family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. I was the last customer, and everyone reassured me to take my time — no rush at all. They really made sure I felt comfortable and not anxious. At checkout, I complimented the bartender on their diverse bar selection — it’s an Italian spot, but they even carry Japanese whiskeys! 🥃 She told me the owner loves traveling and tasting drinks around the world, and they’re opening a whiskey bar next door next fall — guess I’ll have to come back just for that! When the owner heard I liked Hibiki, he poured three shots — one for himself, one for me, and one for the bartender. So much for trying to cut back on drinking… 😂 They said not many people order it, so they were excited to find someone who appreciates it (I felt a little guilty — I’m no expert, I just happen to love Hibiki!). Before I left, the bartender gave me a little flower as a token for a smooth journey 🌸 — such a sweet touch that made the meal truly heartwarming. 💡 Tip from the owner: If you’re visiting between 6–8 PM, it’s best to call ahead. They’re busy and the space is small. But if you’re a party of 1–2, you can usually snag a seat at the bar like I did.
