๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Day Trip from Turin: Gran Paradiso National Park ๐Ÿ

๐Ÿ“ Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso Located near the town of Aosta, about 2.5 hours drive from Turin ๐Ÿš˜ ๐Ÿงญ The itinerary is divided into three main parts: 1๏ธโƒฃ Valnontey โ€“ A great starting point for hiking (approx. 2.5 hours to the top). The foot of the mountain is a small village with pastures where you can spot cows and sheep ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ. During the climb, you might encounter wild deer and various kinds of mushrooms ๐Ÿ„. 2๏ธโƒฃ Lunch in Cogne โ€“ Several nice restaurants with meals ranging from โ‚ฌ10-20 per person ๐Ÿ’ถ (no coperto charge!). Finally got to try Lasagna in Italy โ€“ a bit salty but delicious nonetheless! ๐Ÿ˜‹ 3๏ธโƒฃ Cascate di Lillaz (Lillaz Waterfall) โ€“ You can hike up from the main trail, pass a platform with a bar and open grassland ๐Ÿƒ. From there, you can descend closer to the waterfall (waterproof hiking shoes recommended!). The return route along the mountain path is even prettier โ€“ multiple viewpoints and on sunny days you might catch a rainbow over the waterfall ๐ŸŒˆ! This trip is relaxed and beginner-friendly: ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Comfortable shoes are fine (hiking shoes ideal) ๐Ÿงฅ Layer with a windbreaker + fleece + light down (backup) ๐Ÿ‘– Thick outdoor pants (single layer might be too cold) ๐Ÿงข A beanie is a good idea We went on Oct 6th โ€“ 8-9ยฐC ๐ŸŒก๏ธ, but it felt warmer while walking. A long-sleeve T + lightweight windbreaker + waterproof trekking pants (thin fleece) were just enough! Late October should be even more beautiful with golden mountains everywhere ๐Ÿ‚โ›ฐ๏ธ โ€“ go for it! ----๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Note: On Google Maps, Gran Paradiso is actually marked near two lakes โ€“ that area looks even more stunning and is more convenient if you have a car. #TurinHiking #HikingEurope #TravelItaly #AlpsHiking #GranParadiso #AutumnAdventure #ChillVibes #TurinDiaries
