Turin Restaurant Recommendation: Madame Piola π½οΈ
In March, I discovered a Michelin restaurant in Turin that specializes in local Piedmont cuisine, and I made a lovely trip there over Easter for a meal. My verdict: It was definitely worth the trip, awesome! π βΌοΈReservations are a mustβΌοΈ and it's best to book a half month to a week in advance. (I made my reservation a week and a half in advance.) The service was excellent: Besides sending you a confirmation email after booking, they also send you reminder emails on the day of and the day before your reservation. On the day of the reservation, the restaurant even calls to confirm. When I booked, the only available slot was at 13:00, but I had a train at 14:30 and was worried about running out of time. When they called me, I asked if it was possible to come earlier, and the gentleman on the phone readily let me come at 12:30. Upon arrival, they also provided a dedicated place to store my backpack and a shelf for other items. The service was truly top-notch! ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ» Dishes: I ordered an appetizer, a first course, a second course, and a dessert. The waitress suggested that I could order smaller portions (even though I, being a big eater, could finish them all haha). Vitello tonnato - freshly sliced beef wrapped in tuna sauce (I sat at the bar, facing the transparent kitchen, and could clearly see the entire cooking process). Plin is a local specialty of Italian dumplings filled with beef, and the broth is incredibly delicious. Be sure to dip the dumplings in the broth and take a bite - it's heavenly. Guancia di vitello brasata al Nebbiolo - braised beef cheek with mashed potatoes. The beef cheek was extremely tender and fragrant. After finishing, I used the pre-meal roll to wipe up the remaining sauce. Monte bianco - a dessert of ice cream, I'm not sure what the crumbs on top were, but it was very tasty. Price: All my dishes were in smaller portions, plus a bottle of water and a β¬3 seat fee, the total was only β¬43. In summary, the value for money is very high. You can taste the very fragrant local specialties without spending much, along with an ultimate service experience. If you can get a reservation, you must come and have a meal here. #Italy #RestaurantRecommendation #ItalianRestaurant #MichelinRestaurant #Turin #TurinFood #ItalianTurin #Michelin #Europe #EuropeanLife
