🇮🇹 First Time in Venice: A Smooth & Efficient 1-Day Itinerary
Brought my parents to explore Venice! Our goal was to experience both city walk and city boat – all within a relaxed yet well-packed day. 🚤 Island Route: We took a tourist boat to Venice Island. -> St. Mark‘s Square, Doge’s Palace, St. Mark‘s Basilica, Bridge of Sighs: The square is grand and filled with pigeons – also a filming location for Jay Chou’s “Black Sweater” MV! 🕊️📸 Spent about 1 hour exploring and taking photos. -> 15-min walk to SUSO for famous Gelato: Creamy and delicious! The line was long with many international tourists – definitely not just a hype spot for Chinese visitors. 🍦😋 -> 10-min walk to the dock for a Gondola ride: A must-do in Venice! €120 per boat (max 5 people). We didn’t share to have more space and better photo ops. A 20-minute ride was perfect. Gondoliers are easy to find – just confirm the duration and price. 🛶💶 -> Walked through Venice’s alleys and small bridges: Spent around 2 hours exploring little souvenir shops (hello, fridge magnets! 🧲) and local-looking restaurants. We picked a nice authentic spot for a meal – no regrets! -> Wrapped up around 4-5 PM and took a Water Taxi (easy to find at docks) back to the train station. We arrived around noon and returned to the hotel by 7 PM – a relaxed pace with no rush. Didn’t hit all the hyped cafés or food spots (some are hidden in alleys), but it’s totally doable if you have more energy! Overall, a walkable and enjoyable day. 💙 #VeniceTravel #ItalyTravel
