🇮🇹 Florence + Pisa | Second Visit Insights ✨
Florence 🏛️ 📍 Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo) First visit: Only saw the exterior (stunning!). Second visit: Went inside—honestly, the real beauty is outside! 😅 📸 Recommendation: Snap pics from a nearby café instead. 🎨 Accademia Gallery A MUST-GO! Even if you know nothing about art, Michelangelo’s real David is jaw-dropping. 🗿 🎟️ No reservation needed! Walked in at 3 PM, got a 4:30 PM ticket. EU students: Show visa → €6/person (no queue!). 🖼️ Uffizi Gallery No booking. Arrived at 10:30 AM, queued 30 mins to enter. 💰 Pro tip: First staff said "no student discount," but another let me in for €2! (Art majors: FREE!). 🌇 Piazzale Michelangelo Sunset at 6:20 PM? Arrived at 6 PM—still got a spot! Crowds are friendly (people take turns for photos). 🧥 Warning: Windy & cold! Bring a jacket. ⛪ Orsanmichele Church Hidden gem! EU students: €2 to access the top-floor viewpoint (360° city views!). 🛍️ Souvenirs Hand-painted fridge magnets at Ponte Vecchio (lovely, but their Pinocchios aren’t as nice as the old craftsman’s—sadly, he wasn’t there that day 😢). Pisa 🏗️ 🗼 Leaning Tower Luggage storage at tourist info. 🍦 Fun idea: Buy a gelato cone from a nearby shop for silly "holding up the tower" pics! 🛒 Color-changing fridge magnets sold at shops opening at 10:30 AM—don’t go too early! 🏛️ Piazza della Signoria Watch a history video beforehand! We sat on the steps googling facts mid-visit. 😂 Bonus: Accommodation 🏡 Stayed at a lovely Airbnb with a cat & dog (super friendly + great location near T2 tram line). DM me for details! 🐶🐱 Final Thoughts: Had an amazing time—only regret was missing Cinque Terre due to strikes.
