🇮🇹 Hiking Diary Near Turin

This time I visited a small town called Brusson, about an hour's drive from Turin 🚗💨. Located in the upper right part of Aosta, close to Switzerland 🇨🇭, it’s already a lesser-known spot — and with it being off-season, I encountered more cows and horses 🐄🐴 than people! A true paradise for introverts 😌🍃, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The houses in the town are incredibly charming, like something straight out of a fairy tale 🏡✨. The lake is simply named Lago di Brusson 💧— crystal clear and serene. We stayed by the lake a bit too long, so by the time we started hiking, it was almost evening 🌆. Luckily, our destination wasn’t far: a cheese factory called La Tchavana 🧀, where you can buy fresh cheese and surprisingly delicious homemade gelato 🍦. The hike took about an hour round-trip. As the sun set, the temperature dropped significantly — dressing warmly is a must! ❄️🧣 🏠 Because it’s the low season, the guesthouse we stayed at was very affordable — €50 per night including breakfast 🍳☕. The room had one double bed and one single bed. Best of all? A cozy wooden cabin warmed by a fireplace 🪵🔥. ⚠️ The road conditions are quite steep with lots of sharp turns 🛣️↩️. If you’re driving, be very careful!
