Rome - Vatican - Pisa - Florence - Venice - MilanšŸ‘Œ Most itineraries are similar, so I’ll skip the common tips and share personal insights + must-knows! šŸ“ #Rome + #Vatican (3 days) Many attractions in Rome are within walking distance. Stay near the Pantheon for convenience. I walked 20k+ steps daily here.ā¤ļø In the Vatican, don’t miss St. Peter’s Basilica and the Museums. āš ļø Book tickets EARLY!! Dress modestly (cover shoulders and knees). Recommend going to the Basilica first thing in the morning → take the elevator to the dome. The long queue in the square leads inside—just join it. Even with the elevator, you’ll still need to climb narrow stairs. Not recommended for claustrophobic people.šŸ’• The Museums are a 10-min walk from the Basilica through a commercial street. Though the last entry for the Sistine Chapel is officially 4:30 PM, it actually stays open until museum closing. Note: the museum is one-way, and the Chapel is near the end—no turning back. No photos or loud talking inside.😊 šŸ“ #Florence - #Pisa - Florence (2 days) Pisa is small. Take Trenitalia to Pisa S.Rossore (10-min walk to the Tower) or Pisa Centrale (20+ mins).šŸ‘ No need to buy tickets if you’re not climbing the Tower—photos can be taken outside. In Florence, definitely visit Piazzale Michelangelo at sunset. Go early for the best spots—photographers with DSLRs camp there hours ahead. Buy leather bags in Florence—they’re cheaper and more authentic here than elsewhere.🤣 šŸ“ #Venice (2 days) Stay in Mestre—it’s well-connected by bus. No need to stay on the island.😘 Buy all transport tickets on the AVM Venezia app. Activate e-tickets before boarding—they take 3 mins to validate. Spend one day on the main island, another on Murano and Burano.šŸ˜’ Note: the ferry to Murano/Burano leaves from F.te Nove A, Pier 12 (NOT the pier near the bus station). Taking 4.1/4.2 from the bus station will loop around the island and take 1.5 hours. From F.te Nove, it’s only 10+ mins. šŸ“ #Milan (1 day) Main attraction: Duomo di Milano. Recommend buying the dome climb ticket—it includes access to the church interior afterward. The interior is fairly simple and can be seen quickly. Will share more on accommodations and food later!šŸŽ¶ #ItalyTravelGuide #Milan#Venic #Florence - #Pisa eāœØšŸ‡®šŸ‡¹
