🇮🇹 Living in Italy | Genoa: The "Seaside Chongqing"

Spent three weeks traveling Italy from south to north, visiting nearly 10 cities. Genoa unexpectedly made it into my top 3! Originally just a backup destination, it surprised me with its charm. Even in peak season, it wasn't crowded—perfect for a relaxing getaway. We stayed for two nights and regretted not extending our trip. Here’s our 2-day itinerary: 🍔 DAY 1 9:30 AM: Took the metro from our Airbnb to the city center → 20-min bus ride → Nervi's "glass sea" → 5-min train → Bogliasco's "jelly sea" (small but stunningly blue beach, ~1h visit) → 22-min train → Camogli Beach (sunset) → 43-min train → Back to Airbnb If short on time, skip Bogliasco. The beach is a bit far from the station, and the uphill walk in 35°C heat can be exhausting. 🍍 DAY 2 9:30 AM: Airbnb → 40-min bus → Boccadasse Beach → 20-min bus → Columbus' House → 4-min walk (300m) → Piazza De Ferrari → Via Garibaldi → 4-min metro → Porto Antico (Old Port) → 1-min metro (1.3km) → Palazzo Reale (Genoa Royal Palace) → Hike to Spianata Castelletto (panoramic city views) For a beach-focused trip, stick to Day 1’s route. We visited four beaches, and my favorite was Bogliasco—its milky-blue waters were unreal, different from Spain’s "jelly sea." Plenty of snack stalls too—we had fried seafood and burgers for under €10 per person! #SoloTravel #IslandGetaway #ItalyTravel #VisitItaly #ItalyTrip #Genoa #GenoaTravel #EuropeTravel #LifeInEurope #ItalianVibes ✈️🌊🍕
