Mainland: Mestre Station area is cheaper ๐๏ธ, but requires a bus/train ride to the island. ๐ Transportation Florence โ Venice (Mestre): Trenitalia/Italo high-speed train, ~2h ๐ (My train: 10:39 AM - 12:42 PM). Venice Water Bus: Covers Mestre to main island, intra-island travel, and nearby islands. Get a 2/3-day pass ๐ณ: 2-day: โฌ33 | 3-day: โฌ33 (under 28) Book here: Venezia Unica โช๏ธ Attractions Main Island: Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, Accademia Bridge, etc. Islands: Murano (Glass Island) ๐บ and Burano (Colorful Island) ๐. ๐บ๏ธ Route ๐บ Murano (Glass Island): Famous for glassmaking ๐จ. Lots of shops (close by 5 PM). ๐ Burano (Colorful Island): Vibrant houses and canals โ best in afternoon light ๐ธ. ๐ Rialto Bridge: Take water bus to "Rialto" stop or walk 20-30 mins. Beautiful at noon and sunset โ worth visiting twice! ๐ Accademia Bridge: Water bus or 15-min walk. Postcard-perfect views ๐ผ๏ธ. ๐๏ธ St. Markโs Square: Visit Basilica San Marco (opens at 2 PM) and climb Campanile di San Marco (โฌ10). Dogeโs Palace (โฌ30, 3h tour).
