🇮🇹 Never Going Back to Turin Again

(And No, This Isn’t Clickbait!) As a student in Milan, my friend and I decided to explore nearby cities over the weekend—this time, Turin. Sure, like some Xiaohongshu posts say, Turin does have a quiet, unique vibe compared to other Italian cities, and yeah, the photos turn out nice. BUT the downsides? Major deal-breakers. 1️⃣ Public Transport = Nightmare 🚌 Don’t believe those "Turin One-Day Itinerary" posts! The buses are horribly inconvenient. We bought a €4.50 daily metro pass based on recommendations but never used it once—almost none of the attractions are reachable by tram or metro. You have to walk everywhere. Does Turin have its own transit app or system? Because Google Maps & Apple Maps showed ZERO bus routes to any major sights. Unacceptable. 2️⃣ Rude Locals (Selectively, But Still) 😐 At a popular roasted potato restaurant, we took 30 mins max (photos prove it). The cashier was nice, but a waiter asked us twice—within 2 minutes—if we were done eating. ??? At the Egyptian Museum gift shop, the staff ignored us (Asian faces) but smiled and chatted with the white guy before us. I bought something and didn’t even get a "Ciao." And no, this isn’t "sensitivity"—it was blatant. Of course, not everyone was awful, but our entire day was filled with these little frustrations. Final Verdict ⚖️ Turin might look pretty, but between the useless transport and unpleasant interactions, I’m not returning. Life’s too short for bad trips. #Turin #TravelFail #StudyAbroad #ItalyTravel #SkipThisCity
