🇮🇹 Venice Main Island 1-Day No-Backtracking Guide

From Mestre Station ➡️ Venezia S. Lucia Station – 10-min direct train to Venice Main Island 💶€1.5 (buy directly at the machine) 1️⃣ Ponte degli Scalzi (Barefoot Bridge) Right outside the train station. Crowded – watch out for pickpockets! 🥹👀 2️⃣ Rialto Bridge One of Venice’s most famous bridges, spanning the Grand Canal (Canal Grande) and connecting San Marco and Santa Croce. Its elegant arched design makes it super photogenic! 📸🌉 3️⃣ St. Mark’s Square, Basilica, Doge’s Palace, Bridge of Sighs Knock them all out in one go! Though I didn’t have high expectations for Venice’s churches, I was still blown away by the beauty. 🏛️💫 From the waterfront, you can see several other small islands in the distance – truly stunning. For a bird’s-eye view of Venice, climb St. Mark’s Campanile. 🔭 4️⃣ Accademia Bridge 🌉 I’d call this the best photo spot! Standing here, you see Venice straight out of a textbook. 📗✨ 5️⃣ Ponte della Costituzione (Constitution Bridge) Close to the train station – perfect final stop before taking the train back. 🚶‍♀️🚉 Follow this route for a full day with no backtracking! The entire tour can be done on foot.
