Total cost for 1 day & 1 night in Venice: 276 RMB 💰 🚌 Transport: €3 🏠 Accommodation: 113 RMB (booked on Agoda) 🍽️ Food & Drinks: €18.8 Total ≈ less than 300 RMB! 🗺️ One-Day Main Island Route: Mestre Station 🚞 Venice Island 🚶🏻 Ponte degli Scalzi 🚶🏻 Rialto Bridge 🚶🏻 DFS Duty-Free (free toilets!) 🚶🏻 St. Mark’s Square 🚶🏻 Libreria Acqua Alta 🚶🏻 Accademia Bridge 🚶🏻 Constitution Bridge 🚌 Transportation: Intercity travel // Rome 🚌 Venice Mestre (Stazione FS): FlixBus booked in advance – 50 RMB To & from the island // Mestre ↔ Venice S. Lucia: Train €1.5 (one way) I took an overnight bus from Rome to Venice – saves one night’s accommodation! 😴 🏠 Accommodation: Stayed near Mestre Station – super affordable, clean, and well-located! Avg. 100 RMB/night. 🍽️ Food & Drinks: The main island is quite touristy and a bit pricey 🐙… I tried a cuttlefish ink pasta at a Chinese-owned place – not the best 😅 But I’m sure there’s good food if you explore! There are also supermarkets – check Google Maps! 📍Venice is made up of three parts: Mainland Mestre Main Island (historic center with St. Mark’s Square, Grand Canal, Bridge of Sighs, etc.) Outer Islands (like colorful Burano & glass-making Murano) To reach the main island from Mestre, take the train from Mestre Station to Venezia S. Lucia – only 10 mins 🚆 Cars aren’t allowed on the main island – you walk or take water buses (vaporetto). Going to the outer islands requires a ferry ticket (€9.5 one way) – not cheap🫨 So try to book accommodation on the main island or in Mestre. Staying outside could make transport more expensive than your lodging! ⚠️ Remember to validate your train ticket before boarding! Fines are common in Italy if you forget.
