During my week-long trip to Kenya, I stayed at four different hotels. Here’s a detailed comparison to help fellow travelers make informed choices. 1️⃣ Argyle Grand Hotel, Nairobi – 5⭐ Chinese-owned (also known as ) Location: Near the airport Best experience of the trip! Pros: ✅ Delicious breakfast ✅ Hairdryer & hot shower available ✅ 4 complimentary water bottles ✅ Security checks (safe environment) 2️⃣ AA Lodge, Amboseli – 3⭐ Tented camp (10-minute drive from Amboseli National Park) Pros: ✅ Mosquito nets (no actual mosquitoes) ✅ Stargazing opportunities ✨ ✅ 24/7 electricity ✅ Evening bonfire performances 3️⃣ Elementaita Country Lodge – 3⭐ Location: 1-hour drive from Nakuru/Naivasha Pros: ✅ Hot water & electricity ✅ Free Coke at lunch/dinner (nice perk!) ✅ Close to the lake (but no direct access) 4️⃣ AA Lodge, Maasai Mara – 1⭐ Disappointing stay compared to the others Final Verdict: ✔ Only Argyle Grand Hotel (Nairobi) was truly great. #Kenya #KenyaHotels #TravelTips #AALodge #BudgetTravel
