🇰🇭 | Phnom Penh Half-Day City Walk Guide After Midday Arrival 📷
☀️ Route Overview: Larryta Bus Station (luggage storage) → Wat Phnom → National Museum of Cambodia → Tube Coffee → Royal Palace Square → Independence Monument → Eleven One Kitchen → Spa → Return to Larryta Bus Station. Highlights: 1️⃣ Wat Phnom – $1 entry. A serene temple with beautiful architecture and statues—great for a short break. 2️⃣ National Museum of Cambodia – $10 entry. Houses an extensive collection of Hindu/Buddhist statues. The layout is circular, but exhibits lack thematic organization or detailed descriptions (only names and dates). Without prior religious knowledge, it might feel overwhelming. That said, the sheer number of artifacts is visually more striking than Angkor Museum in Siem Reap. 3️⃣ Tube Coffee – The second-floor Mekong River view is fantastic. Iced drinks are perfect for cooling down. 4️⃣ Royal Palace Square – A relaxing evening stroll with pigeons. Didn’t enter the palace, but the square offers a glimpse into local life. 5️⃣ Independence Monument – Mostly a photo spot. Even at dusk, flash photography works well. Warning: Chaotic traffic—cross carefully! 6️⃣ Eleven One Kitchen – A trendy spot (popular among Chinese tourists and recommended by a local friend). Menu is diverse, but flavors were just okay—more like modern Khmer fusion. 7️⃣ Spa – Post-dinner massage to unwind (and shower). Originally wanted a blogger-recommended spa near the bus station, but it was full (1h wait—book ahead!). Ended up at a nicer but pricier place. Tried traditional Khmer massage—so relaxing! 8️⃣ Other Notes: Skipped Central Market (too crowded, no time). Briefly checked out the night market (small, locals eating at stalls). Didn’t eat due to hygiene concerns but could be an experience. 📷 Gear: Film photography (Dazz cam effect). #Cambodia #PhnomPenh #CambodiaTravel #Travel #Photography #FilmPhotography #CityWalk #Backpacking #SoloTravel #MaleCollegeStudent
