π°π· Creative Korean Bites in NYC β C as in Charlie!
Nestled near SoHo, this vibrant Korean-inspired wine bar has been buzzing since it opened β and for good reason! With moody red lighting, a lively (okay, loud π) atmosphere, and a creative small-plates menu, C as in Charlie is perfect for catching up with friends over drinks and bites β though maybe not for intimate conversations, since youβll practically have to shout! π The menu is compact and best enjoyed with 3β4 people so you can try a bit of everything. Hereβs what we tasted: π€ Toast Roll A standout! Crispy fried toast rolls stuffed with seasoned shrimp filling β crispy outside, soft inside, almost like a savory version of fried milk π₯. Served with a tangy dipping sauce that cuts through the richness. π Baby Black Ribs Sweet and sticky soy-glazed ribs that fall off the bone. Tasty, but the glaze is on the sweeter side β good for those who love bold, sugary flavors. π Mushroom Bibimbap A bit of a letdown. The rice was sticky (not the crispy kind youβd hope for), and the mix of wild mushrooms included some overly salty pieces that threw off the balance. π Oxtail Cream Pasta Perfectly fine but not memorable. Think creamy pasta with shredded oxtail β comforting but not restaurant-level impressive. π Popcorn Chicken Not your classic popcorn chicken β more like mini sweet-and-spicy Korean fried chicken bites. Saucy, flavorful, and cute for photos, though a bit heavy on the glaze. Overall, C as in Charlie offers fun, photogenic, and creative Korean-fusion small plates in a hip setting. While nothing truly blew us away, itβs a cool spot to try once with a group β especially if youβre in the mood for something different and lively! π C as in Charlie β Near SoHo, NYC π° Around $40 per person #CAsInCharlie #KoreanFusion #SoHoEats #NYCSmallPlates #WineBarVibes #CreativeEats #NYCFoodie #GroupDining #NYCBites #TrendySpot
