๐ฒ๐ฆ Rabat - Europe's Backyard Living Up to Its Name ๐ฟ
Arrived in Morocco's capital at 10AM ๐ Took an Indrive (smart move - farther from station!) Young driver spoke decent English ๐ฃ๏ธ When asked if Muslim: "Yes, but I don't pray ๐ We can have 4 wives legally, but nah - seems unnecessary" ๐ Checked into a charming old town guesthouse ๐ก Family lives upstairs Lucky me - got 4-bed dorm ALL TO MYSELF! ๐ (Pics at end โก๏ธ) After days of chicken tagine/tacos overload ๐ Found "We Salad" on Google - PERFECT detox! ๐ฅ Owner played awesome tunes ๐ถ Told him: "Your playlist makes this salad perfect!" Sat by window sipping fresh juice ๐ง Watching Moroccan students stroll by - pure bliss ๐ Afternoon at Andalusian Garden ๐ธ FREE ENTRY + breathtaking! No wonder they call Morocco "Europe's garden" ๐ Cafรฉ with ocean views ๐ Cats strolling ancient walls Sunlight dancing on my face โ๏ธ Could've stayed forever ๐ซ Passed mosques ๐ Saw elderly man slowly remove shoes ๐ Painstakingly arranging them in corner Hunched back entering to pray - deeply moving Rabat's beauty lies in its contrasts: Chaotic old town streets ๐๐จ vs. serene seaside calm ๐ Horns blaring ๐ฏ vs. waves whispering Took 2.5dhm boat ride โด๏ธ Crossed river to another city in minutes! Fun fact: Saw ZERO Asian tourists all day How's this gem not flooded with visitors? ๐ค #GlobeTrotting #Morocco #VisitMorocco #Rabat #RabatOldTown#ReadingTheWorldOnePageAtATime
