π²π¦ Rabat - Europe's Backyard Living Up to Its Name πΏ
Arrived in Morocco's capital at 10AM π Took an Indrive (smart move - farther from station!) Young driver spoke decent English π£οΈ When asked if Muslim: "Yes, but I don't pray π We can have 4 wives legally, but nah - seems unnecessary" π Checked into a charming old town guesthouse π‘ Family lives upstairs Lucky me - got 4-bed dorm ALL TO MYSELF! π (Pics at end β‘οΈ) After days of chicken tagine/tacos overload π Found "We Salad" on Google - PERFECT detox! π₯ Owner played awesome tunes πΆ Told him: "Your playlist makes this salad perfect!" Sat by window sipping fresh juice π§ Watching Moroccan students stroll by - pure bliss π Afternoon at Andalusian Garden πΈ FREE ENTRY + breathtaking! No wonder they call Morocco "Europe's garden" π CafΓ© with ocean views π Cats strolling ancient walls Sunlight dancing on my face βοΈ Could've stayed forever π« Passed mosques π Saw elderly man slowly remove shoes π Painstakingly arranging them in corner Hunched back entering to pray - deeply moving Rabat's beauty lies in its contrasts: Chaotic old town streets ππ¨ vs. serene seaside calm π Horns blaring π― vs. waves whispering Took 2.5dhm boat ride β΄οΈ Crossed river to another city in minutes! Fun fact: Saw ZERO Asian tourists all day How's this gem not flooded with visitors? π€ #GlobeTrotting #Morocco #VisitMorocco #Rabat #RabatOldTown#ReadingTheWorldOnePageAtATime
