🇲🇾🇫🇮 Helsinki|A Finnish Friend Took Me to Suomenlinna Fortress
On my first day in Helsinki, I met a super friendly local on the train from the airport to the city 🚆❤️. She said she had some free time and offered to show me around — and we ended up exploring Suomenlinna together! We took the 8:20 AM ferry ⛴️ — just a 15-minute ride from the Market Square. If you have an HSL day pass, the ferry is included 🎫✅ (it’s part of public transport!). ✨ Pro tip: Go between 7-8 AM to avoid the crowds — after 10 AM, it gets busy with tourists! We kept it casual — no museums, just wandering along the sea 🌊, exploring military tunnels 🪖, and soaking in the views. ➡️ Suomenlinna is a UNESCO World Heritage site 🏰 and one of the most beautiful and historical spots in Helsinki. We walked for about 2 hours — the island is small but full of charm and calm 🏝️🍃. We also had a deep chat about life in Finland — from culture to everyday quirks 🗣️💬. Highly recommend visiting if you have time! Perfect for a slow, reflective solo trip 🧘♀️📸 #FYP #Finland #Helsinki #Suomenlinna #SoloTravel #TravelWithLocals #UNESCO #HiddenGems 🌍✨
