🇳🇱 7 Must-Try Restaurants in Amsterdam
I’ll be sharing a dedicated Street Food guide for Amsterdam soon — but for now, here are 7 restaurants I truly enjoyed. From century-old classics to local Dutch fare, Michelin stars to authentic Chinese… maybe it’s just that I love Amsterdam, but everything tasted amazing! 🍽️ d’Vijff Vlieghen (“The Five Flies”) A 1627 icon — visited by Elvis, Hitchcock, and more. Offers 4 to 6-course menus (€50-€80, wine pairing extra). The Hendrina Room on the 2nd floor honors the original kitchen, with Rembrandt etchings and celebrity-signed chairs. A historical + culinary experience — highly recommended! 🌶️ Sichuan Restaurant I rarely eat Chinese food while traveling — but I came here 3 times! Their Sichuan cuisine might even be better than some versions in China 😅 Must-order: Saliva Chicken (so flavorful!) — a lifesaver for homesick stomachs. 🍜 Saigon Caphé A Vietnamese gem recommended by locals. The best pho I’ve had outside of Vietnam — aromatic broth, fresh herbs, perfect balance. 🦞 The Seafood Bar A seafood lover’s dream — their seafood platter is incredible. Fresh, well-seasoned, beyond expectations. Close to the Van Gogh Museum — easy to find! 🎨 RIJKS® Restaurant Dine at RIJKS after visiting the Rijksmuseum 🖼️ Michelin-starred, organic-focused, with artistic touches: Amuse-bouche inspired by Girl with a Pearl Earring Dessert themed after The Milkmaid 4-course lunch: €80 | Lobster tart = heavenly! 🌃 Ciel Bleu Two Michelin stars — on the 23rd floor of Hotel Okura. Stunning night views + refined dining. Perfect when you want something elegant in this casual city. 🇳🇱 The Pantry Cozy spot serving Dutch classics in a Delft-blue decorated space. Try bitterballen (fried meatballs) — not mind-blowing, but a must for the experience 😂 You’re in Holland — live a little! #AmsterdamEats #FoodGuide #MichelinInAmsterdam #DutchFood #HiddenGems #TravelForFood
