🇳🇱 A Day Trip to Utrecht | The Charming Dutch Town
After visiting the Van Gogh Museum, we headed to Utrecht at around 2 PM. 🚆 Getting There From Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station, we took the NS train (30 mins, €9.60). Utrecht Centraal Station is huge and connected to Hoog Catharijne Mall—just turn right after exiting to reach the city center. 🌷 Unexpected Discoveries We searched for the famous tulip fields and Dutch bicycles (as seen online) but couldn’t find them. 😅 Instead, we stumbled upon Flora’s Garden, a lovely spot where people relaxed with Manneken Pis fries (no long queues here—unlike Amsterdam!). ⛪ Gothic Beauty Dom Tower (Utrecht Cathedral) – Free entry (donations welcome). The atmosphere inside was serene and respectful. 🎶 Evening Vibes After 4 PM, the streets came alive with street musicians and buzzing cafés. We grabbed coffee at a canal-side terrace and soaked in the Dutch "gezelligheid" (coziness). ✨ Why Visit Utrecht? Just 30 mins from Amsterdam, but feels quieter and more local. Perfect mix of history, canals, and laid-back charm. #AmsterdamDayTrip #Utrecht #NetherlandsTravel #HiddenGems #SlowTravel 🌍
