🇳🇱 Museum Diary | Utrecht Centraal Museum

Such an amazing museum—why do so few people recommend it? 😭 It's totally worth a visit! 🥹 📍 Address: Centraal Museum, Agnietenstraat 1, 3512 XA Utrecht 🕰 Museumkaart accepted (just scan for entry). Audio guides available (English & Dutch only). Located right next to the Miffy Museum, so you can visit both in one go! A thorough visit takes about 2 hours. 💙 Ground Floor (My personal favorite!) 1️⃣ 1,000-year-old ship (see pic 2) 2️⃣ Collection Centraal: Features a cool projection intro (pic 3). Exhibits range from medieval art to historical/religious pieces—some hard to understand but so beautiful 🥺. Miniature houses were my favorite—incredibly detailed with a slightly eerie fairy-tale vibe. 🖼️ Notable artworks include The Matchmaker. 💜 First Floor Mainly fashion & clothing exhibits, plus classic landscapes, still lifes, and modern art. 🩷 Second Floor Dick Bruna’s studio (creator of Miffy!) with behind-the-scenes stories about the iconic bunny. A rotating fashion exhibition (during my visit, it was a temporary showcase). 📅 Visited on Sept 29—there was a special exhibition on the ground floor. Coming soon: a Moroccan fashion exhibit!
