If I weren’t studying nearby, I might’ve never discovered this quaint Dutch town—but wow, what a delight! Just 1.5 hours by train from Wageningen, Amersfoort stole my heart with its: 🏰 1,000-year-old city gate 🎨 Mondrian’s birthplace (and adorable merch!) 🚦 Girl-shaped traffic lights everywhere—so charming! ✨ Highlights 🖼️ Kunsthal KAdE Art Gallery Current exhibit "Sleep" was surreal and thought-provoking (check their website for rotating shows!). Obsessed with the painting in P9—need it on my wall! 🍚 Cozy Korean Lunch Near the church, solid bibimbap (though way smaller than the Chinese version 😂). €50 for 3 people—not bad! 🐰 Mondrian House Giftshop Hidden treasure alert! Behind the ticket counter, they stash the cutest Mondrian-themed trinkets—think: bunnies, Miffy collabs, and more.
