🇳🇱 The Hague Half-Day Adventure
🌅 Morning: Scheveningen Beach Sunrise at 8:30 AM – Walked 30 mins from my student apartment (€25/night, thanks to a sweet who lent me her free museum card!). Vibes: Soft sand, surfers, dog walkers, and seagulls soaring—pure magic! Note: The beach faces west, so sunrise lights up the city side. Transport Warning: Bus stop near Peace Palace is hidden due to construction—I missed 2 buses before finding it! 😅 🏛️ Midday: Peace Palace + Mauritshuis Peace Palace: Snap-and-go (looks like every other European castle, tbh). Mauritshuis Museum: 🎨 Girl with a Pearl Earring was my sole mission! Used the borrowed museum card (no ticket needed—luck level 100). Tiny but mighty—1 hour is enough. Saw art restoration in action! 🍜 Afternoon: Chinatown Hits & Misses Two iconic gates, a bustling shopping street, and… Must-try: Plain sponge cake (skip the raisin & vanilla ones!). Meh: Bubble tea (€6, tasted like powder) & Saint Anne’s wonton noodles (frozen dumplings + weirdly rice-like noodles). 🚆 Back to Amsterdam 10-min walk to the station → 1-hour train ride. #TheHague #NetherlandsTravel #BudgetTravel #MuseumHack #BeachVibes #ChinatownEats 🌊🎨
