🇳🇱 Utrecht Summer School Experience ✨
I attended a 10-day summer program at Utrecht University, taking the course "Dutch Cultural Heritage: Art and History"—totally worth it! (Check comments for my DIY Schengen visa materials if needed!) 📚 Course Highlights: Visited museums, botanical gardens, and learned a ton about Dutch history. 3 hours of class/day with fun excursions & interactive exercises. Easy open-book exam (could even consult notes) + one presentation. Small class (~15 people) with half from Asia, super friendly professor! 😊 🏡 Housing @ Science Park: Cozy uni apartments: shared kitchen, private room with sink. Options: 2/3/6-person suites—I brought my own blanket & inflatable pillow (no sleeping bag needed). 10-min bus/tram ride to campus. 🍽️ Food Recs (€10-20/person): 🥣 Soep-er Utrecht – Tomato, cucumber (cold!), & pumpkin curry soup + cheesy sticks = comfort food heaven! 🥯 Bagels & Beans (chain) – Bali bagel (chicken, cashew, peanut sauce) = my fave! 🥩 Broadway American Steakhouse – Post-exam treat: ribs & steak platter by the canal! 🚶 Museum Trips & Travel: Many walkable spots from Utrecht Central Station. Student discounts with the summer school booklet! (More details in .) ☔ Final Thoughts: Utrecht is small but full of warmth—people were so kind, summer weather was perfect, and it made for a lovely short-term stay! #SummerSchool #Netherlands #Utrecht #Europe #StudyAbroad 🌍📚
