π³π± What to Eat in Amsterdam β Hits & Misses π
Came for the tulips in April π·, didnβt plan much food-wise β made some mistakes, so hereβs a quick rundown! π³ The Pancake Bakery Great for brunch β sweet & savory pancakes. I had ham, cheese, mushroom β tasty and huge portion! π CafΓ© Sonneveld Came specifically for the ribs. Canβt say theyβre the best (only tried one place), but the meat was fall-off-the-bone tender! Also tried meatball stamppot (mashed potatoes) and Dutch apple pie β loved it. Friendly service β recommend booking (or try walking in). π« Avoid Castell β empty but refused walk-ins + rude staff. π Saigon Caphe CS Vietnamese pho inside Central Station β a bit salty. Not bad, not great. πΆοΈ Sichuan Chinese in Chinatown β expensive (London prices), average taste. Hardly any chicken in the dish β π Xi'an Delicious Foods Went here after Castell rejection β near Rijksmuseum. Feels like a small noodle shop from home β tasty and affordable! π· Keukenhof Park CafΓ© Tomato soup + basil chicken pasta β overpriced and mediocre β π Fabel Friet Runstraat Famous fries spot (with cute staff lol). Try parmesan + black truffle sauce. π³ Bring cash β their card machine often fails (a kind grandpa paid for us π) π Frens Haringhandel Fried fish stand near Flower Market β not bad, saltier than UK style. Didnβt dare try the herring sandwich π₯ͺ Worth a try if you pass by. πͺ Van Stapele Koekmakerij Aespa-approved chocolate cookie β warm, rich, and gooey. One is enough though! π§ Nomu Random bubble tea find β mango coconut matcha was great! Nice street for citywalking too. #AmsterdamFood #TravelNetherlands #Keukenhof #EatLikeALocal #FoodReview
