🇳🇿 Dunedin | Only Go If You LOVE Nature!
🚗 Road Trip from Queenstown: Took Highway 8 → Highway 1 via Cromwell. Stopped at every lookout—turned a 3h40m drive into 5+ hours, but the views were so worth it! 🌊 Must-Stop Nature Spots 1️⃣ Tunnel Beach - NZ’s answer to the White Cliffs of Dover! 🇬🇧 (Eased my UK nostalgia.) 2️⃣ Sandfly Bay - Wild sea lions 🦭 + crashing waves (stay back—they charge!). ⚠️ Tips: Hiking shoes + warm layers (coastal winds are brutal!). Sea lions look like rocks—don’t step on them! Tunnel Beach: Views get meh downhill—just hike halfway. 🏡 Airbnb Gem: Scandinavian-Style Rural Barn 📍 Host: Mandy (search on Airbnb) ✨ Why it’s perfect: Floor-to-ceiling windows + loft with skylight for stargazing ✨ Freebies: Eggs, fruit, chips… even tampons and umbrellas! Private lakeside trail for sunset walks 🌅 Sheep, horses, cows grazing outside (zero noise inside!). 🌌 Dunedin Vibes Feels like Scotland… but skip the "meh" attractions. Cookie Time alert: Fewer flavors than Queenstown! 🍪 We barely left the Airbnb—it was that cozy. #DunedinHiddenGems #NZRoadTrip #GlampingNZ #SeaSafari #TravelSlow
