🇳🇿 My 3rd NZ Trip Itinerary (Detailed Chatty Version!)

Saw a group who only got afternoon tickets (tractor ride + feeding sheep/alpacas 🦙). Sadly missed sheep shearing 🐑 (sold out!). ✅ Redwoods Nightlights Treewalk: Magical at night! 🌌 + outdoor movies. Next day: Tried the daytime forest walk (Lord of the Rings vibes!). Fast-track ticket (+$5) saves time in peak season! 🏠 All Seasons Holiday Park: 10min from town, lakeside views, heated pool (open till 9:30pm!). Bonus: Dinosaurs 🦖 + a sailboat enthusiast at sunset! ⛵ 🌿 Day 8: Rotorua ✅ Whakarewarewa Māori Cultural Show ($25, 1hr): Haka performance = powerful! Kids loved the Moana connection. Free geothermal area access included. ✅ Zorb Ball: Kid’s pick! 🎾 (Skipped luge—done it twice in South Island.) Perfect pit stop! 🍴 Dinner at EL Mexicano Zapata Cantina: Meh Mexican… but kid approved! 😂 Saved by Korean fried chicken on the way back! 🍗 🏞️ Day 9: Rotorua → Te Puru (Coromandel Peninsula) ☕ Breakfast at Ciabatta Café: Banana coffee = divine! 🍌☕ + killer donuts. ✅ Blue Spring (Te Waihou): NZ’s bottled water source! 💧 Finally open—1hr walk (partially closed but dreamy!). ✅ Tirau (Tin Town): Whimsical corrugated iron art + must-try gelato! 🍦 ✅ Morrinsville (Cow Town): 30+ colorful cow statues! 🐄🌈 ✅ Paeroa (L&P Soda Homeland): Goldmine ruins: Easy route: Park at Karangahake Hall → walk to tunnel + gorge trail. 🏠 Te Puru Holiday Park: Quirky local vibe—privately owned cabins, fishermen partying + speedboating at dawn! 🚤 🏖️ Day 10: Te Puru → Hahei (Hot Water Beach) → Pokeno ☕ Thames: Coffee + quick explore. ✅ Cathedral Cove: Pack swimwear/snacks!
