🇵🇪 Peru • Arequipa | Every Country Has Its Little Chiang Mai
After traveling for so long, you just know when a place feels right—the moment you step out and explore, you can feel its energy. ✨ In every country, there's always that one special place that makes me want to stay... and in Peru, that place is Arequipa. ❤️ Though I haven't visited many Peruvian cities, Arequipa instantly clicked. This white city, surrounded by three dormant volcanoes, has a charming old town filled with hip cafés, boutique shops, and one of the most beautiful Plaza de Armas I've ever seen. At sunset, hike up to Yanahuara Scenic Overlook for breathtaking views, or wander off the tourist path—where you might stumble upon blooming jacaranda trees in full purple glory. 💜 One evening, I chased the sunset to a random rooftop café... only to discover it had a perfect view of both Misti and Chachani volcanoes as the sky turned pink and gold. 🏔️🌄 Pure magic. If you're traveling through Peru (especially after the exhaustion of Machu Picchu), spend a few slow days here. Just wander the old town, soak up the sun, and if you visit in winter, you might even see the snow-capped volcanoes resembling Mount Fuji. ❄️🗻 #Peru #Arequipa #LatinAmerica #SouthAmerica #TravelDifferently #HiddenGems 🌎✈️
