đžđȘ Malmö, I Admit I Was Too Harsh on You Beforeâš
âšWhen I first came last year, I didnât have a great impression of Malmö because of some news. I didnât visit oftenâmost of the time, Iâd head straight from Lund to Copenhagen instead.đŹ A while back, I had to move to Malmö reluctantly because there were no apartments left in Lund. But after living here for a bit, Iâve totally changed my mind! Diving into daily life, I realized itâs actually a lovely placeâwith a warmth and vibrancy thatâs rare in Nordic cities.âïž At first glance, Malmö mixes old and new buildings, with some construction sites in between. It feels like a blend of past and presentâbeautiful in parts, âimperfectâ in othersâbut thatâs exactly what takes away the âpolished distanceâ of some cities. It feels like a place where real life happens.âš âšThe cost of living is a nice surprise too: many supermarket items are a bit cheaper than in Lund, and there are âïžquite a few discount promotions. âšWhen it comes to food and drinks, there are hidden gems everywhere: Spooneryâs meatballs, LDâs bubble tea, Open Riceâs grilled meat, Ngonâs Vietnamese food, plus a few Asian supermarkets. These alone make me grateful for life here! The city is super walkable. Wander through secondhand shops, vintage stores, design furniture shops, flower boutiques, and galleriesâespecially around Gamla Staden (Old Town) and Södergatan. By the end of your walk, youâll probably end up with a pretty mug, table mat, or decor piece to take home. đŹGetting close to nature is easy too. Parks like Pildammsparken each have their own charm, with tall, sturdy trees that feel full of life. The sea is also within reachâat sunset, you can walk along the Promenade all the way down to the beach. âšAll in all, Malmö is really great. Of course, it would be even better if some streets and corners got a little more cleaning and tidying up! đ #NordicLife #Sweden #Malmö #CityWander #SorryIDidntGiveYouAChanceBefore #Citywalk #NordicTravel #Lund #BeautifulMoments
